Cancellation Policy

1. Any participant who registers for an Effective Events™ event has the right to cancel at any time by sending an e-mail to cancellation@lunchnet.co.uk with a written request to cancel. Cancellation requests are only accepted by email. The participant will be refunded in full if he or she cancels 5 days or more from the date of the  event. However, if the participant cancels 4 days or fewer to the date of the event, he or she will not receive a refund but can transfer to another event subject to availability. If the participant cancels with 48 hours no transfer or refund will be offered.
2. Effective Events™ will make every effort to hold events at the times, dates and locations specified on this web site. However, Effective Events™ holds the right to cancel and/or change Effective Events™ event times, dates and locations under certain conditions. These conditions usually include, but are not limited to, event venue cancellation or rescheduling, and insufficient number of participants for the event.
3. Effective Events™ holds the right to cancel the event for any reason up to and including the day of the event. In the event that Effective Events™ must cancel the event, you will be refunded your money in full or offered a transfer to another LunchNet™ event of your choosing, availability permitting.

In order to participate in any Effective Events™ event and/or use the Effective Events™ web site, you must register and agree to be bound by the terms contained in this disclaimer.
You must be at least eighteen years old to register for Effective Events™ events. By using this web site and/or participating in Effective Events™ events, you represent and warrant that you have the right, capacity, and authority to agree and to abide by all of the terms and conditions listed herein. Participation in Effective Events™ events and use of this web site is void where prohibited.

Effective Events™ has not conducted background checks on any of the participants and is not responsible for anything that may happen between individuals at Effective Events™ events, or thereafter. By signing up for an event, participants agree to indemnify and hold LunchNet™, its owners, and its employees harmless from any claim and/or liability.

Effective Events™, and/or its agents or assignees disclaim all warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including, but not limited to the implied warranties for a particular purpose and non-infringement. Effective Events™ and/or its agents or assignees makes no warranty that the service will meet your requirements or that the service will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free; the results that may be obtained from the use of the service will be accurate or reliable; and the quality of any products, services, information, or other material purchased or obtained by you through the service or 3rd party services will meet your expectations.

In no event shall Effective Events™ and/or its agents or assignees be liable for any special, indirect, consequential or incidental damages, loss of revenue, damages for lost profits or loss of use, or otherwise related to or arising out of any Effective Events™ event, whether such damages arise in contract, negligence, in equity, tort, at law or otherwise. Furthermore, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless Effective Events™ and/or its agents or assignees. By proceeding you agree that you fully understand and accept all the terms of this disclaimer and wish to use Effective Events™ service at your own risk.

Choice/Opt-Out

Effective Events sends email newsletters to members and periodically sends emails about new services, improvements, scheduled service interruptions, etc. Our members can opt-out of receiving communications from us by unsubscribing from our mailing list. To do so, simply send us an email with your request. 

Legal Disclaimer

We reserve the right to refuse admission. Business leads are not guaranteed. No refunds will be given after you have received your nametag at the event. On occasion, media will take pictures or interview participants. By signing up, you agree to permit us to use those photographs taken during the event for purposes of marketing and advertising our service in the future. Effective Events™ and its venues are not responsible for lost or stolen property. Effective Events™ cannot be held liable for any statements made by its participants. It is the responsibility of the participant to verify any information that is given. Effective Events™ and its venues bear no liability for any damages direct or indirect including human and/or Internet provider error. Effective Events™ cannot be held liable for any emotional distress, emotional discomfort, physical damages, or bodily injury.
